God Vs God

God Vs God

There are two gods living within man, one is his mind which thinks in the natural and wants to rule all things and in the natural it looks like the mind does. The other is his spirit, which is supernatural and does rule all things. Your mind (god) is limited to what it knows, has experienced and its expectation of the future. God from above knows all, expects nothing, and brings you into a future of your desired heart.

Jeremiah 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

God is the God of your heart and this you should guard all the days of your life. God knows you, your mind does not, although it thinks it does. Most people will agree they know you, but they do not. Only one God knows you and he is the creator of all things.

Man’s mind keeps you in the past cycle loop that spins around like a circle repeating itself over and over. The previous destination may change drastically at first but soon the mind takes you back to a time where you did not want to be. It is just different enough that you did not realize you are right back where you started, just on a different street in a different job and a different relationship. Or on the same street, same people, same job, and running a self-destructive loop around your finances again.

Many people it is the finances that get us. We make more pay off some bills find we have a lot more money and start to overspend again only to find we now need a second job or a big raise. We didn’t want to live paycheck to paycheck but even making $50,000 or more compared to the $25,000 we are living paycheck to paycheck. How many people are doing this? I would imagine a lot. This creates several ideas going into your head…so we will not go there.

We change jobs because it wasn’t the perfect fit. Neither is the one you are working at now, it’s not the job, it’s you. This is the same with relationships, churches, where you live and who you live with, as well as other areas of our lives that we keep running from and then realize we are just circling back to the same old same old junk in our lives.

This stops when we realize no more…literally you just say, I’m done. I am not doing this again and change begins. You start watching your actions and evaluating them. You pay attention to those people who have been enabling you with kind words telling it is everyone else, not you. You begin to watch what you say and how you react and find that this person you have lived with all of your life is not someone you love, even though you like yourself most of the time, you do not know who you are.

I once asked God if he could make the real Donna stand up. You may remember or not there was show called--- Will the “real” person stand up? -- It was about 3 people 2 of which pretended to be someone else and only one of them was the real “Donna”. I liked that show because in my mind I thought that was the way to find out who the real Donna is. I still do not know completely, but I am getting closer as I become aware of what I will no longer tolerate in my life. This brings me inner peace. I once said, “I may not know what I want, but I know what I do not want” this bothered people, but to know what you want I believe you have to know what you do not want and once you remove the “do not’s” you just continue until you find the “wants”.

Do you want to get off that roller coaster? Let go what your mind has been holding on to. Stop blaming others for your shortcomings and your lack of trust in yourself. You do not need another person’s permission to live your life, but you do need yours. Stop letting your mind determine where you are to go in life and let God lead you. He has already cleared the path, but there are going to be some rocks, weeds and even trees that need to be uprooted, and removed that have been stored in your mind for a very long time.

Release the thoughts that do not serve you. Stop rehearsing thoughts within your mind about someone who hurt you.

The God of the universe does not talk to you through your mind; but in a still small voice.

I Kings 19: 12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

You’re trying to disregard the thoughts, feelings and emotions you have toward the pain in your body, toward the lack in your finances and toward the negative words you speak/think over yourself. You can’t do it alone. You need to find peace and stillness in the Lord.

This is an excerpt from book #3 still in the works of being written and published.
